Treatment for PCOS

If you are problematic with PCOS and finding difficulty to get pregnant, you should know the types of PCOS before your treatment is started. Besides, you must have knowledge about that particular type of PCOS you are suffering from.

The treatment of PCOS depends on its type, severity and the symptoms which you are experiencing.

Without knowing the exact type of PCOS, treatment of a PCOS female should not be started blindly and if such treatment is started blindly, there is no chance of such treatment being successful. Giving wrong medicines would result into further complications in the patient as same happened to me.

I am also a patient of PCOS and because of PCOS I could not get pregnant for initial about 8 years of my marriage. Even after getting pregnant, still I had no knowledge about the type of PCOS I was suffering from. A PCOS patient may experience the following or any of the following symptoms:-

1. Irregularly menstrual cycle or missed periods.

2. Infertility / Difficulty in getting pregnant

3. Ovarian Cysts.

4. Hirsutism (unwanted excess hair growth on face, chest etc)

5. Hair thinning and hair losing.

6. Weight Gain.

7. Acne

8. Oily skin

9. Dark or thick skin patches on the back of the neck.
