High Blood pressure during pregnancy is very much fatal not
for the pregnant lady but also for the baby. Therefore, if blood pressure is high
during pregnancy, it must be controlled from the very beginning. Due to my high
blood pressure in my pregnancy, my baby’s growth was affected and he was
born prematurely with low weight and ultimately died within 4 days after
his birth.
To control blood pressure, there are many medicines available
which reduces the blood pressure but all the medicines should not be used in
pregnancy because many of the medicines may cross the placenta and harm the baby.
So, always use only those medicines which are prescribed by your Doctor.
Let’s talk about my high
blood pressure in pregnancy.
My blood pressure in Pregnancy
I conceived about 8 years after my marriage and that
too after my treatment because I was suffering from PCOS and that became the
reason of my non pregnancy in the first 8 years of marriage. Click here

Due to stress or many other reasons, my blood pressure
was not perfect i.e 120/80 mmhg and remained usually high even before or after
pregnancy. During my treatment from the last Gynecologist, whenever she checked
my Blood pressure it was about 130/100 mmhg therefore she directed me to
be relaxed and to reduce my blood pressure.
After my successful treatment, when I got pregnant, still
then my blood pressure remained about little bit high round about 130/100 mmhg.
For first few weeks of my pregnancy, my Gynecologist neither gave me medicines
nor referred me to any medical specialist.
However, at 26th weeks of my pregnancy, due
to further increase in my blood pressure i.e 140/109 mmhg, my
Gynecologist referred to Medical Specialist to reduce my blood pressure.
Because the said Gynecologist was very far away from our house
and was expensive as well therefore, we decided to go to another Gynecologist of
low fee and which was near to our house for future checkups and delivery.
My Blood pressure treatment in Pregnancy from Aldomet Tab 250
At 29th Weeks of my pregnancy, I went to another
Gynecologist near to our house, where my ultrasound was done which was not showing
good result for my baby. Due to my increase of blood pressure, the doctor prescribed
Aldomet 250 mg Tab to be used for 2 times a day. Besides, due to other complications as
considered by the said Gynecologist about my baby, the Gynecologist advised me
to have Doppler Ultrasound from another Laboratory.
At 33rd weeks of my pregnancy, I have had my
Doppler Ultrasound report was also not good because it was showing “Intra
Uterine Grown Restriction”.
Feeling this situation very much critical, we approached to
the Medical Specialist referred by my previously Gynecologist where my blood
pressure was noted down as 160/110 mmhg which was too much high.
After being checked by the said Medical Specialist, we visited
to our previous gynecologist but our previous gynecologist got angry with us
and closed our chapter with the remarks that we have not followed her instructions
which resulted in to my current situation of high blood pressure and grown
restriction of my baby.
Thereafter, I visited number of other of Gynecologists to
reduce my blood pressure and to save my baby. The doctors made their hectic
efforts and many doctors besides prescribing other medicines also suggested
Aldomet 250 MG which I used accordingly.
Affect of Aldomet Tab 250 in lowering my Blood Pressure
I started using Aldomet Tab 250 as per prescriptions of
various doctors. Aldomet lowered my blood pressure for initial few days and
duration of affect of Aldomet was also reasonable when I started using
it but with the passage of time, the duration of affect of Aldomet was reduced.
Means, when I took Aldomet Tab, it lowered my blood pressure but within few
minutes of lowering my blood pressure, my blood pressure again started rising. Therefore, my doctors added other medicines
as well along with Aldomet like Labetalol or Adalat, which helped me better

Side Affects of using Aldomet on my Pregnancy
Although, after using Aldomet during my pregnancy, I felt
headache and my sleep was also disturbed but I am not pretty much sure that only
Aldomet caused these side affects or symptoms to me. These sides affect might
have been caused by other tablets or other reasons. Besides, I am also not sure that whether Aldomet
has caused high level of bilirubin in blood of my newborn baby or not for the
reason that I took other medicines as well along with Aldomet in my pregnancy.
My High Blood pressure proved to be dangerous during my pregnancy
I used many tablets during my pregnancy to reduce my blood
pressure but my blood pressure could not be controlled by using these medicines

I had premature delivery and gave birth to a baby boy. My new
born baby was not so much active as it should be. Keeping in view the activity of my new born
baby, my baby’s blood test was taken wherein; high level of bilirubin was
found.
Due to existence of high level of bilirubin in blood of my
new born baby, his blood was changed. After changing of blood of my new born
baby, his condition got further severe and after few hours of changing of
blood, my new born baby lost his life just 3/4 days after his birth.
