Is PCOS a disability?

 

PCOS is disability or not?

The term Disability may be used for any person who is in a condition which restricts him to perform certain functions like mobility, communication and learning etc.

 

If a person cannot move due to paralysis or any other condition, they may be referred to as “person with a mobility disability” In the same way, If a person is unable to speak, they may be called “A person with disability to speech”. The disability may be short term or long term. 

Not come to the point whether PCOS is a disability or not.   

 

Though, a PCOS is associated with certain kind of problems like Inability to get pregnant, weight gain, acne, unwanted hair growth, depression,   and many more but PCOS itself cannot be referred to as disability.  Click here to know How I got pregnant with PCOS

 

PCOS is not classified as a disability as the females with PCOS may still require support, medical treatment, and accommodations to manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life.
